Planting Anglican Churches in Sonoma County

Welcome to Santa Rosa Anglicans!

We hope that this website will be a vehicle for gathering people together for planting Anglican Churches in Sonoma County.  Starting a new church is much easier than people imagine.  Some churches start large, but most begin when two or three people respond to God’s calling and begin praying together on a regular basis.  Jesus promised that “wherever two or three gather together in my name, there I will be also”.  Every new church starts with one or two people who are willing to give it a try.

Santa Rosa Anglicans is supported by St. James Anglican Church in San Jose.  St. James is helping to form new churches in Northern California.  You can read about the way they support new churches here. St. James is getting more adept at helping with each new mission.  Today there are people working with St. James in nine churches that have started or about to start since 2009.

Many people are drawn to the Anglican way of being Christian.  Some are drawn by a desire to worship God in the patterns and forms that Christians used in the early church.  Others are drawn by a desire to live life in rhythm with the church year.  Some are drawn by the quiet dignity of worship that provides a base for festive shouts of joy.  Whatever your background or source of your interest we are here for you.  We love Anglicanism and want to share our faith by helping others form new churches.

If you would like more information or just want to make your interest known, please contact us using the contact form or call Fr. Ed McNeill at 408.674.2770 Fr. Ed will be delighted to hear from you and will usually reply very quickly.
